Goal

We are raising funds and awareness to support the devastating, currently always deadly disease ALS on January 3, 2022 which just happens to be Barry Sopinsky's 69th Birthday. Barry founded the nonprofit, Challenge2ConquerALS in 2009 to honor the memory of his Dad, Irvin Sopinsky, who died of ALS when Barry was 13, after a 7 year battle. Teams across the country will be eating the PAQUI OneChipChallenge chip which happens to be the Hottest Tortilla Chip Around.

This year we will be supporting the premier research centers across the country dedicated 100% to new treatments and finding a cure for ALS. All proceeds will be donated in honor of 10 year old, Kennedy Arney.

Kennedy has been diagnosed by the National Institutes of Health with a genetic defect that can cause Juvenile ALS, or ALS Type 4. This is a bit different than "traditional" forms of ALS that people are more familiar with, as the NIH says she will likely not develop many symptoms until her early 20s. Research on her type of ALS is ongoing. Symptons include muscle wasting, muscle twitching, spastic gait, and sensory disturbance.

Kennedy is dealing with a few of those issues already. Kennedy was the youngest person ever diagnosed with JALS globally when she was just 7.

Your support is so very much appreciated.
